Gail McKay, 74, of Treasure Lake, DuBois died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at her home.
Born Sept. 28, 1939 in Hightstown, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Jane (Hall) Probasco.
On July 21, 1985, she married Fr. Robert McKay IV. He survives.
She retired from the chemistry department at Princeton University. She had also worked at the Pennsylvania State University Mount Alto Campus, the Ocean Spray Co. and McGraw-Hill, both in New Jersey.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour. She enjoyed aerobics class at the DuBois Y.M.C.A. She also enjoyed working with her husband at the DuBois Ministerial Food Pantry. She was a meticulous homemaker, an avid reader and was formerly a published artist.
She’s survived by two step-children, Robert J. McKay and his wife, Jennifer of East Windsor, NJ and Russell McKay of Spotswood, NJ; two sisters, Conny Wedell and her husband, Dorrance of Hoover, Ala. and Susan Olsen and her husband, Edwin of St. Augustine, Fla.; two brothers, Chris Probasco and his wife, Judy of Chesterfield, NJ and Peter Probasco and his wife, Diana of Ocean City, NJ; and two step-grandchildren, RJ and Ian McKay.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Griffith.
There will be no public visitation.
A Memorial Eucharist will be celebrated at 11 a.m. March 8 from the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour with the Right Rev. Sean W. Rowe, the Bishop of Northwestern Pennsylvania, presiding.
Burial will be in Trinity Episcopal Churchyard in Moorestown, NJ.
