ALTOONA – Penn State Altoona is offering a three-part workshop that will provide an introduction to the fundamentals of investing in securities. Topics include stocks, bonds, risk and return analysis, and portfolio management.
Workshops will be held March 17, March 24 and March 31 from 6:45 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. in the Irwin Family Trading Room of the Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence in downtown Altoona. Participants must attend each workshop.
Participants will manage an investment portfolio on a virtual trading platform. The experience will be true-to-life and allows them to trade stocks, bonds, mutual funds, options, and futures and spot contracts for world currencies and commodities on more than twenty global exchanges – all with real-time data.
