Mark Allan Desmett, 42, of McCartney Madera, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at the Clearfield Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born March 19, 1971 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Robert E. and Norma (Coder) Desmett. He was the owner/operator of Mark Desmett Trucking Inc. He was a member of the Oak Ridge Union Church of McCartney and of the Glen Hope Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving are his parents of McCartney; his wife, the former, Anna Miller; a daughter, Cortney Desmett; and two granddaughters, Payton Desmett and Kendra Mostoller, all of Curwensville. Also surviving are a brother, Robert Desmett of Curwensville and two sisters, Lorri Clark and her husband, Rick of Grampian and Pam Lockett and her husband, Rodney of McCartney.
Services for Mr. Desmett will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, with the Rev. Douglas Turner officiating. Burial will be in the Fruit Hill Cemetery, New Millport.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday.
