Leo F. “Beans” Grenier, 74, of Big Run and formerly of Alden, NY, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born May 4, 1939 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Leo H. Grenier and Margaret (Kirkpatrick) Grenier. His mother survives and lives in DuBois.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an auto mechanic for Harrison Radiator in Lockport, NY.
He was a volunteer fireman for close to 50 years and served in Alden and Rapids volunteer fire departments.
He’s survived by two sons, Darryl Grenier of Alden, NY and Duane Grenier of Akron, NY; two brothers, Gregory Grenier and his wife, Allegra of Big Run and Philip “Pete” Grenier and his wife, Sandy of Cameron, Mo. and one grandchild.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
