Paul J. Tarachko Sr., 80, of Frenchville died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born Dec. 29, 1933 in Pottersdale, he was the son of the late Martin and Elizabeth Scotko Tarachko. He was a member of the St. Marys of Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Frenchville.
He was a 1953 graduate of the former Cooper Township High School. He was employed by Miller Auto Parts, Clearfield, for 29 years until his retirement in 1995.
He married Dorothy J. Bolents Tarachko on Nov. 29, 1958 at the St. Francis Church, Clearfield. She survives in Frenchville.
Mr. Tarachko is survived by a daughter, Mary English and her companion, Jay Leigey of West Decatur and two sons, Paul J. Tarachko Jr. and his companion, Norma Covin of Frenchville and Stanley Tarachko and his wife, Trudy of Clearfield.
He’s also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Merritt and her companion, Mike Leskovansky of Philipsburg and Joshua English of West Decatur and a great-grandchild, Hayley Leskovansky of Philipsburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Tarachko, an infant sister, a brother, Stephen Tarachko and a son-in-law, Timothy English.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Marys of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Frenchville, with the Father David A. Perry Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale.
