James A. Wigfield Jr., 78, of Osceola Mills, PA died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014Â at his home.
He was the son of the late James A. Wigfield Sr. and Eliza (Stacey) Wigfield born May 11, 1935 in Osceola Mills. He married Shelvey G. (Krause) Wigfield on May 5, 1955 in Osceola Mills; she preceded him in death on June 13, 2006.
Mr. Wigfield was a member of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Philipsburg. He was a retired maintenance superintendent for Associated Drilling of Osceola Mills, and was a 1953 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Mr. Wigfield is survived by four sons, James A. Wigfield III and his wife, Judy of Fall Creek, Gregory A. Wigfield and his wife, Sally of Emporium, David W. Wigfield and his wife, Sandy of State College and Kevin S. Wigfield and his wife, Jennifer of Morrison, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Nathan Wigfield and his wife, Bethany, Nicole Weaver and her husband, Andrew, Tyler Wigfield, Kyle Wigfield, Courtney Wigfield, David Wigfield and his wife, Latoya, Phillip Wigfield and Bethany Wigfield; and one great-grandchild, Audrey Wigfield.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Philipsburg, with the Rev. W. Dean Krause officiating. Burial will be at the Centre Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service Thursday at the church.
