Enoch Simcox, 92, of Reynoldsville and formerly of Dubois and Clearfield, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at Dubois Regional Medical Center. Born March 1, 1921 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late James and Mary Elizabeth (Ginnick) Simcox.
He was married to Dorothy M. (Rothrock) Simcox, who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, John Edward Simcox and Garry Eugene Simcox; three brothers, James Simcox, Robert Simcox and Jobe Simcox; and a sister, Frances Cassick.
He’s survived by two sons George Simcox and his wife, Kathie of Reynoldsville and Dennis Simcox of West Palm Beach, Fla. and a sister, Sara Goss of Clearfield. He’s also survived by three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
He was a truck driver for Peerless Trucking. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Per his request, there will be no public visitation. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
