Kathleen M. Thomas, 85, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was bor April 2, 1928, a daughter of the late Charles Burton Sr. and Ruth Avanel (Rowles) Thomas.
Miss Thomas was a child care provider for several families in the area. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield
She’s survived by her sister, Mildred S. Hanson of Clearfield and other close family members, including three nieces, two nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, C. Burton Thomas Jr. and Robert A. Thomas.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Robert J. Way and the Rev. Susan J. Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Home Health – Hospice, P.O. Box 92, Clearfield.
