ALTOONA — UPMC Altoona and SEIU Healthcare, the union that represents registered nurses, has agreed to meet. A meeting has been scheduled for Friday.
The hospital is encouraged and sees this as a favorable step.
“The hospital remains ready and prepared for all contingencies. UPMC Altoona’s primary concern will be to continue providing high quality health care services to our patients in a comfortable and safe environment. We will do that regardless of circumstances,” said Dave Cuzzolina, hospital spokesperson.
No further comment will be made at this time.
