Beverly A. Palmer, 85, of Clearfield died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Palmer was born April 17, 1928, the daughter of Irven C. and Clara H. (Schiefer) Kester.
She was formerly employed by the Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield.
She was also a member of the N.O.N. Club and Coterie Club. She was an avid bridge and pinochle player.
Family was most important to her. She is survived by two daughters, Janet Lovesky and her husband, John and JoAnn Holobinko and her husband, George, all of Clearfield.
She’s survived by four grandchildren, Sarah Ann Lovesky and her fiancé, Justin Montanti, Matthew Scott Lovesky and his fiancée, Chrissy Natalie, Justin Wade Cline and his wife, Melinda and Aaron Matthew Cline and his wife, Emily; two great-grandchildren, Madeleine and Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William F. Palmer, whom she married June 11, 1948 and whom died Dec. 3, 1993; three brothers, Richard, Robert and William Kester; and three sisters, Mary Hile, Betty Jane Muirhead and Helen Moyer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., of Clearfield with the Rev. Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
