Elmer R. Spotts, 67, of Philipsburg died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born July 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Harry R. Sr. and Laura Gunter Spotts. He was the graduate of the Curwensville High School.
Mr. Spotts worked for Rushton Mines and retired from the state Department of Transportation in 1998. He was a member of AMVETS No. 159, Philipsburg.
He was married to Dorothy L. Dillon Spotts on May 25, 1968 in Philipsburg. She survives.
He’s survived by two sons, Richard Spotts and his wife, Katherine of Hawk Run and Robert Spotts of Philipsburg; one sister, Mary Jane Spotts; five brothers, Harry, Jack, Franky and Bill Spotts and Bob Wisor; and five grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Dillon; two grandchildren, Kenneth Dillon and Lisa Spotts; and a brother, Alfred Spotts.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation.
