State police at Clearfield
- An accident occurred Tuesday on Teutonic Avenue in Brisbin Borough. Paul M. Aurandt of Houtzdale was traveling north when he lost control of his vehicle. It traveled off the east shoulder and struck a telephone pole before ending up in a ditch. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of harassment occurred Tuesday on Williams Street in Ramey Borough. During the incident, two Ramey residents engaged in a physical altercation by pushing and striking each other.
- No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday on the Drane Highway in Boggs Township. Daniel M. Danko of Osceola Mills was traveling southbound and attempting to negotiate a left-hand curve. He lost control of his vehicle, which traveled off the roadway and struck a tree with its rear passenger’s side. Then, it spun in a clockwise motion before striking a tree with its driver’s side. The Danko vehicle came to a final rest in the southbound lane, facing west.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of access device fraud occurred Dec. 16, 2013 on Ulrich Road in Union Township. During the incident, the victim’s credit card was used to make an online purchase. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police assisted a resident who was locked out of her residence and could not locate her key.
- Police assisted a motorist who locked his keys in his vehicle.
- Police assisted a disabled motorist on Bridge Street.
- Police received a report about loud music at a residence in the 100 block of South Second Street.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a suspicious person; however, the incident had occurred several hours prior to police receiving the report.
- Police received a report about a motorist who may possibly be in need of assistance. The motorist’s vehicle slid off the roadway as a result of icy road conditions but was gone prior to police arrival.
- Police assisted a motorist at the intersection of state Route 879 and Industrial Park Road.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief on Valley View Drive.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment on Friday.
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance at the Beech Street Apartments on Friday. Upon arrival police found it was only verbal in nature.
- Police located a truck that was suspected to be stolen on Tuesday in the area of Arnoldtown.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about domestic violence on Sunday in the 500 block of Liberty Boulevard. Upon arrival police encountered a female; however, the male who was involved had left the scene. The female told police that they had engaged in an argument over their children, at which point the male assaulted her. Police searched the area for the male with negative results. Charges of simple assault and harassment were filed against the male.
- On Monday, police received a report about a domestic dispute in progress in the 300 block of East Park Avenue. Upon arrival a female advised police that she had been punched in the face by her boyfriend. The female, police said, was bleeding in her facial area. In addition, the male advised police that the female had bitten him on the hand before he struck her. The male, police said, had puncture marks on his right hand and thumb. Both were placed under arrest for domestic violence and charges were filed against them.
- On Monday, police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred in the 100 block of East Washington Avenue. The victim told police that someone had stolen a package from her porch that was delivered by UPS. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- On Tuesday, police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle that occurred in the 300 block of Knarr Street. The victim told police that on two different occasions during the past month, someone smashed her car window out. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact DuBois City police.
- Between Friday and Tuesday, police investigated seven traffic accidents, issued 20 traffic citations and issued 12 written traffic warnings.
