Harry L. Merritts, 51, of Woodland died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Born July 3, 1962 in Clearfield, he was the son of Donald and Roxanne (Cole) Merritts. He had worked for Green’s Auto as a mechanic for many years and also for Dan Parsons Tree Service.
He is survived by his mother of Williamsburg; his wife, Judy Morgan Merritts; a son, Jason L. Merritts and his wife, Joyce; and two grandchildren, Kendrya Rae Merritts and Hunter Lee Merritts, all of Clearfield.
He’s also survived by eight brothers and sisters, Cindy Stephens of Woodland, Donald Merritts and his wife, Melissa and Pam Shaffer and her husband, Clair and April Davis, all of Williamsburg, Rick Merritts and his wife, Tammy of Clearfield, Dale Merritts and his wife, Jen of Irvona, Bridgette Merritts of Cresson and Ross Merritts of Waymart.
He was preceded in death by his father and a niece, Patty Davis.
At the request of Mr. Merritts, there will be no public viewing or services. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Canoe Creek Cemetery, Blair County.
