DUBOIS – As a continued effort to support local community organizations, the DuBois Business College (DBC) sponsored educational workshops for 60 Girl Scouts on Nov. 9.
Further, a series of educational workshops was sponsored for local young women from surrounding areas that included segments on women’s health and good eating habits. The business etiquette workshop included acing an interview, communicating with style and confidence, and negotiating.
Officer Zayne Rhed of the Brockway Municipal Police Department conducted a session for the girls that detailed the appropriate and inappropriate issues pertaining to social networking and Internet safety. The girls whom were divided into age appropriate groups to attend each workshop were presented badges as part of the closing ceremony.
For more information on upcoming workshops that include digital photography, tablet usage, QuickBooks, Windows 8, basic skills, Microsoft Word and more, give Debbie Rhed a call at 814-375-0142.
New workshops are being formed and are made available to children and adults of all ages as a community effort.
