Helen Novitsky, 96, of DuBois died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at Christ the King Manor.
Born Aug. 25, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Wojceich and Tekla (Kunyscz) Kosiba.
On May 6, 1950, she married Leonard B. Novitsky. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2013.
She worked at Rockwell International Manufacturing, B.F. Goodrich and the Courier-Express.
She was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society. She also was a member of the Polish Citizen’s Club Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing and reading.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Klebacha and her husband, Leo of DuBois and Mary Kay Voyer and her husband, Raymond of Old Town, ME; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine Richardson and Mary Kosiba and her brothers, Walter Kosiba, Joseph Kosiba and Francis Kosiba.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski as celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery.
