Elizabeth “Libby” Hoyt Greathouse, 84, of Reynoldsville died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at the Jefferson Manor.
Born Feb. 5, 1929 in Sabula, she was the daughter of the late Hiram Hoyt and Erma (Beer) Hoyt Blake.
On Oct. 23, 1948, she married Harold Greathouse. He survives.
She retired from the Brockway Glass Company after many years of service. Prior to that, she had worked at B.F. Goodrich in DuBois.
She attended the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Hazen. She enjoyed camping, and spending her winters in Florida. Her favorite Bible verse was John 3:16.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Greathouse and his wife, Joyce of DuBois, and Larry Greathouse and his wife, Beth of St. Marys; two daughters, Linda Moore and her husband, Richard of Reynoldsville and Janice Pregmon and her husband, Thomas of Treasure Lake; two sisters, Aryl Reed of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Jane Scheel of Newport Richey, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and two great -great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Don Henderson officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
