State police at Clearfield
- No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident that occurred Monday on Green Acre Road in Bigler Township. Jessica Lumadue of Houtzdale pulled forward from the stop sign on Atlantic Avenue and started to make a left-hand turn onto Green Acre Road. At the time, a 17-year-old Smithmill girl was traveling southbound on Green Acre Road when she observed Lumadue pulling into the roadway. The girl attempted to swerve to avoid impact with the Lumadue vehicle. However, Lumadue struck the girl’s vehicle and caused disabling damage; it was towed from the scene. The Lumadue vehicle sustained moderate damage. Lumadue was cited for the accident. State police were assisted at the scene by the Madera Emergency Medical Services and towing services.
- Sometime Dec. 21-22, someone removed lawn ornaments from the victim’s yard on North Good Street in Woodward Township.
- On Dec. 22, someone took prescription medication from the victim’s residence on Workers Road in Penn Township.
State police at DuBois
- No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident Monday on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township. Melinda A. Meyer of St. Marys was traveling northbound and negotiating a right-hand curve in the roadway. She traveled onto an isolated icy area and rotated one-quarter turn clockwise. She counter-steered to her left and rotated one-half turn counterclockwise while sliding approximately 50 feet north. The Meyer vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a dirt embankment, where it overturned one-half turn clockwise. Her vehicle came to a rest on its roof, facing north approximately 100 feet from the point she’d lost control. Meyer was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of DUI/Act 64 violation occurred Wednesday at the Sandy Beach Recreational Area in Ridgway Township. During the incident, a 21-year-old Ridgway man was observed pulling from the recreational area. Further investigation revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was also found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges will be filed through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- On Tuesday, police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of East 12th Street. As a result, a Clearfield man was placed in the Clearfield County Jail pending further court action.
- On Wednesday, police responded to reported gunshots in the area of West Locust and West Seventh streets. Police searched the area by patrol unit and on foot. However, no one was located in the area, and there wasn’t any evidence of gunshots.

- Police received a report about a disabled vehicle.
- Police received a report about an incident of careless driving in the area of state Route 879. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
- Police assisted with traffic control in the area of Graham Street for a possible waterline break.
- Police received two, different reports about traffic violations.
- Police received a report about a noise complaint in the Glen Richey area.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle on Clark Street. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
