Lewis E. “Lewie” Bundy, 75, of DuBois died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Born Jan. 4, 1938, he was the son of the late Merritt and Susie (Spicher) Bundy.
On Sept. 7, 1957, he married Patricia A. Fridley. She survives.
Along with his wife, he was the owner/operator of Bundy Logging for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the Christian, Missionary & Alliance Church, where he was very active in church affairs. He was a long-time member of the Lions Club in DuBois. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by four daughters, Kathy Vanderwiele and her husband, Dean of Coatsville, Mary Keck and her husband, Jim and Arlene Harriger and her husband, Paul, both of DuBois, and Kim Gay and her husband, Richard of Yardly; a brother, Allen Bundy and his wife, Bernice of DuBois; three sisters, Loretta Granger and Jessie Patchell and her husband, Donald, both of DuBois, and Mary Jane Showers and her husband, Louis of Goshen, IN; seven grandsons; four granddaughters, two great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Christian Missionary & Alliance Church with Pastor Tim Connor and sons-in-law, Dean Vanderwiele and Richard Gay co-officiating.
Burial will be in Bundy Cemetery.
