AUSTIN – On Dec. 21, the Sinnemahoning State Park will host a holiday open house from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the Park Office and Wildlife Center located at 4843 Park Dr., just off Route 872.
The holiday open house presents an opportunity for the community to view the Wildlife Center all decked out in its winter splendor. Visitors can enjoy the eye-catching holiday displays created by volunteer, Pat Martin of Emporium; Grandpa Hank’s winter village donated by Debbie Calkins of Mansfield; and of course, the wildlife exhibits, completed this year.
In addition, park staff will offer guided tours of the entire ground floor to highlight the energy-saving features that earned the Wildlife Center a Silver LEED rating.
Visitors can enjoy a hot cup of coffee or mulled cider while chatting with friends by the cozy fire. Light refreshments will be offered throughout the afternoon.  The gift shop will be open for your last-minute gift buying needs.
All ages are welcome to attend this free event.
