CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Dec. 9.
Shaw identified the fugitive as James Charles Selvage, 27, of Hannah Street, Houtzdale.
On May 2, Trooper Michael Moskel of the Pennsylvania State Police at Clearfield Barracks filed a criminal complaint against Selvage. He charged Selvage with terroristic threats, false imprisonment, simple assault and harassment.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on May 2, the Pennsylvania State Police received a report about an alleged assault that occurred at a residence in Houtzdale Borough. Upon investigation it was found that Selvage had allegedly struck the victim in the face, as well as choked the victim. The victim also alleged that Selvage had threatened to kill her and her children and forced her into a bedroom to prevent her from leaving the residence.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 19, at which time all charges were held for court. On Nov. 7, Selvage failed to appear for criminal call, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Selvage is described as a Caucasian male who stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He has hazel eyes and brown hair.
