Richard A. Richardson, 72, of Philipsburg and formerly of Madera, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
He was born Jan. 5, 1941 in Madera, a son of the late John C. and Marie E. (Sherosky) Richardson.
He was a 1958 graduate of the Madera High School and was a parishioner of the former Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Madera.
He was the owner of Midway Tools of Woodland and prior to that worked at the JBC Sewing Factory of Madera. He also was a vendor at area flea markets. For 25 years, he played the accordion with the Polish American Band.
He’s survived by a brother, James A. (Mary) Richardson of Mentor, Ohio; a nephew, Lawrence (Theresa) Richardson of Eastlake, Ohio;  two great-nieces, Victoria and Abby; and a great-nephew, Alex.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At Mr. Richardson’s request, there will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Fr. Stanley J. Swacha as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Madera.
