State police at Clearfield
- A single-vehicle accident occurred Friday on state Route 879 in Goshen Township. Further, a 16-year-old Clearfield boy was traveling westbound and also too fast for roadway conditions. He lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the left berm. He struck several trees. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of burglary occurred Saturday on Douglas Road in New Millport. During the incident, someone entered the victim’s property and removed unknown items before fleeing the scene. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Nov. 18 on Smeal Road in Olanta. During the incident, someone entered the victim’s property and damaged security camera wires before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Thursday or Friday on South Eagle Valley Road in the area of Catty Nine Trail in Huston Township. During the incident, someone spray-painted profanities on the roadway. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Nov. 16 on the Tyrone Pike in Rush Township. Anthony W. Janke, 56, of Philipsburg was traveling southbound and slowing down for a left-hand turn. At the same time, another vehicle was traveling southbound behind Janke and failed to slow down. As a result, the vehicle struck that of Janke in the six-o-clock position and then fled the scene. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
- An incident of theft occurred Nov. 16 in the 100 block of North Seventh Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone removed several items from the victim’s property.
- An incident of scattering rubbish occurred Nov. 17 in the 2500 block of South Mountain Road in Taylor Township. During the incident, someone deposited a small amount of garbage along the road.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Nov. 19-20 on Toby Road in Fox Township. Upon arrival to the scene, someone kicked in the victim’s basement door and then fled the scene. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An incident of theft occurred sometime Thursday or Friday at the Johnsonburg Car Wash in Ridgway Township. During the incident, the suspect(s) used some type of universal key to open the change machine and removed approximately $200 worth of quarters and one-dollar bills.
- An incident of scattering rubbish occurred sometime between Nov. 17 and Friday at the turn-around parking area at the end of Kether Road in Jones Township. During the incident, someone discarded garbage; the victim was satisfied with a clean-up of the area by the suspect. No charges will be filed.
Lawrence Township
- The investigation is continuing into an attempted burglary at a Glen Richey residence.
- A traffic violation was reported on Airport Road.
- A motorist was assisted on South Second Street.
- A psychological emergency occurred at the Clearfield Elementary School.
- A suspicious vehicle was reported in the Clearfield Mall parking lot. Upon arrival police determined everything to be OK.
- Two motorists were assisted with unlocking their vehicles.
- A game violation and theft occurred on Sunset Drive and remains under investigation at this time.
- Police assisted with a funeral procession.
- A motorist was assisted with unlocking their vehicle at Sheetz.
- An accident was reported to police that had occurred earlier in the day.
- An incident of harassment was reported to police, and the caller was referred to their attorney.
- A possible traffic hazard was reported on Turnpike Avenue. Upon arrival to the scene, police handled the problem.
Clearfield Borough
- The investigation is continuing into a single-vehicle accident on Park Street.
- Police reported a trespassing incident on South Second Street.
- Police checked a vehicle that was located behind a business. Further, a male was arrested for suspected DUI.
- Police responded to an alarm at a local bank. Upon arrival police found the bank secured.
- Police unlocked a vehicle along East Locust Street.
- Police received a noise complaint from a North Fifth Street resident.
- Police unlocked a vehicle along Zimmerman Avenue.
- Police responded to a local convenient store for a theft incident. As a result, one male was taken to the Clearfield County Jail on a probation violation.
- Police received several complaints that were civil in nature.
DuBois City
- No charges were filed Saturday after a disturbance in the 200 block of East Sherman Avenue. Further, a couple had allegedly engaged in an argument, and police found clothing thrown onto the street. Police advised the couple to collect their belongings.
- An alarm was accidentally activated by an employee Saturday at the VFW.
- On Saturday, an alleged sexual assault occurred in the 200 block of South Brady Street. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Saturday at the intersection of West Long Avenue and Ridge Street. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Saturday at the intersection of Parkway Drive and DuBois Street due to icy roadway conditions. One person was transported to the DuBois Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Saturday on Beaver Drive and was also due to the winter storm conditions. No injuries were reported as a result; however, both vehicles sustained minor damage.
- A domestic disturbance occurred between a man and his nephew Sunday in the 400 block of Maple Avenue. The nephew who is currently on probation had a curfew and didn’t abide by it, which resulted in an argument.
- No charges were filed after a domestic disturbance occurred Sunday in the 100 block of Grant Street. Further, two siblings argued over one’s marital status, as well as her wanting the other to leave.
- An alarm was activated at the United Way on Sunday. Everything was found secured.
