CLEARFIELD – Are you ready to learn to use your camera more effectively by switching the auto button off to make photographs instead of snapshots?
You can understand how to use camera settings, including ISO, aperture, shutter speed, exposure value and depth of field in a creative environment to get you on your way. Basic lighting concepts will be included in the class, too.
Starting Dec. 4 at 6 p.m., the Market Street Gallery, located at 109 E. Market St., downtown Clearfield, is offering Expressions21 Camera Classes led by professional photographer Lori Patrick. For more information, contact Steve Albert at 814-553-1854, Lori Patrick at 814-913-1978 or go to facebook.com/marketstreetart.
Room is limited so reserve your spot now.
You should bring your camera with its battery fully charged, its manual, CF or SD card. A prop or subject is not required, and notebooks will be supplied. Also, you should bring inspiration (example) images of what you like or wish to learn. Shooting assignments will be issued and you may post results and progress in their private class group on Facebook.
After the series, you may want to attend a specified workshop for special skills. These include those on lighting, editing, fine art, portraits, etc.
The Expressions21 Camera Club will be available for students past and present to get together for photo walks, internet challenges, critique and more.
