George T. “Bud” Gallaher, 75, of Kerrmoor died after a brief time of illness on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 10, 1938 in Berwinsdale, the son of George S. and Mary A. (Termin) Gallaher.
Mr. Gallaher retired as a truck driver for Wal-Mart at the age of 71. He attended the Zion Baptist Church.
Mr. Gallaher is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. (Ross), whom he married on June 21, 1997, and three daughters, Pam Barrett and her husband, David of LaJose, Paula Kohler and her husband, Joe of Erie and Peggy Barrett and her husband, Mark of Bells Landing.
Also surviving are three step-children, Michelle Norman and her husband, Mike of Clearfield, Becky
McClain and her husband, Travis of Scottsdale and Darren Summers and his wife, Val of Curwensville; 10 grandchildren, Molly Selfridge and her husband, Eric, Janessa Skiles and her husband, Shaun, Joseph Kohler, Ian and Evan Barrett, Kirstin and Ryan Norman, Ella and Sadie McClain and Jackson Summers; two brothers and two sisters, Ray Gallaher, Betty Fleming, Ed Gallaher and Judy Gardner and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gallaher was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lela (Beers) Gallaher and a brother, Howard Gallaher.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Zion Baptist Church, 2682 Ansonville Rd., Irvona, with Pastor Richard Engle officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, LaJose.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday at the church.
