HARRISBURG – State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan has promoted Mark J. Crossan of Clearfield to captain and assigned him as the director, Operations Division, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. He most recently served as the central section commander, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.
Crossan enlisted in the state police in 1987. Upon graduation from the academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Harrisburg station. As he progressed through the ranks, Crossan served at the York, Carlisle and Harrisburg Stations in Troop H, at the Media station in Troop K, and the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.
Crossan was promoted to corporal in 1993; sergeant in 2002; and lieutenant in 2011. Crossan is a 1981 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and a 1985 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.
Crossan and his wife, Donna, reside in Dover Township, York County and have two children, Brianna and J.T.
