An incident of theft occurred sometime between Oct. 31 and Nov. 3 at a Bills Road residence in Girard Township. During the incident, someone removed $3,212 in U.S. Currency, in addition to two sets of female gold wedding bands/rings, $1,400; a male gold wedding band, $275; a female gold ring with a diamond, $495; a men’s citizen watch, $425; two Wal-Mart brand black purses, $40; and a black Play Station PSP, $200. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
A single-vehicle accident occurred Friday on state Route 879 in Goshen Township. Jeffrey S. Leigey of Clearfield lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a left-hand bend in the roadway. He traveled off the south shoulder and struck a dirt embankment. After impact he traveled approximately 96 feet east and came to a rest. Leigey was wearing his seatbelt and didn’t sustain any injuries as a result of the accident.
An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on Trout Run Road in Goshen Township. During the incident, someone threw an egg at the victim’s 2004 Chevrolet truck. Damage is estimated at $25; the investigation is continuing at this time.
An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on Spruce Street in Bigler Township. During the incident, someone used a pumpkin to damage two mailboxes and then fled the scene.
An incident of harassment occurred Saturday at Sutton’s Bar in Hawk Run. During the incident, five people engaged in a physical altercation outside of the bar. Charges were filed through the district court.
No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident Saturday on the Curwensville – Grampian Highway in Pike Township. Ashley D. Heichel, 23, of Grampian and Sara J. Brown, 71, of Clearfield were traveling westbound when Brown was making a right-hand turn. At that time, Heichel rear-ended Brown’s vehicle. Both Heichel and Brown were wearing their seatbelts.
