CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County DUI Strike Force conducted roving driving under the influence patrols throughout the county last weekend. Officers arrested four people for DUI between 11 p.m. Nov. 2 and 3 a.m. Nov. 3
During their enforcement activities, officers also made arrests for public drunkenness, driving on a DUI-related suspended license, fleeing or eluding a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and carrying a firearm without a permit.
Participating departments included Clearfield Borough, Curwensville Borough, Morris-Cooper Regional, DuBois City and Sandy Township. Roving patrols were conducted in each of these jurisdictions.
PennDOT data for Clearfield County shows that in 2012, seven people were killed in accidents in which alcohol was involved. Last year, police agencies in the county investigated 101 alcohol-related accidents.
