Elizabeth A. “Betty” Norris, 83, of Clearfield entered into God’s Eternal Care on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at her residence.
She was born June 24, 1930 near Houtzdale, the daughter of the late Gustav “Gus” and Elizabeth (Harrington) Freeberg. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a long-time member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Clearfield, where she was a church secretary, member of the Friendship Club, the church choir and the LCW. She was also a member of Hobby Garden and loved flowers.
She is survived by three children, Larry G. Norris and his wife, Rose Marie of Westminster, MD, Anita L. Kaspick and her husband, Richard of Braselton, GA and Thomas “Jeff” Norris and his wife, Sandra L. of DuBois.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Freeberg and his wife, Alice of Virginia; one sister, Rebecca Diane Jobe and her husband, Cliff of Pennsylvania; and three sisters-in-law, Wilma Freeberg, Ann Freeberg and Velma Freeberg-Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas C. Norris, whom she married April 15, 1949 and whom died Sept. 26, 2002; and three brothers, Charles M. Freeberg, John E. Freeberg and Joshua J. Freeberg.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the St. John Lutheran Church, 217 E. Pine St., Clearfield, with the Rev. Robert Way officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, 312 E. Locust St., Clearfield.
