Peter Holobinko Hall, 88, of Banning, Calif. and formerly of Madera died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at San Gorgonio Hospital in Banning, Calif. He was born July 1, 1925, a son of the late Wasco and Anna (Dordth) Holobinko.
He was a 1943 graduate of the Bigler Township High School. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received a Master’s degree in business administration from University of California, Los Angeles in 1960.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a radio operator during World War II in the South Pacific. He retired from Citrus College in Glendale, Calif., where he was assistant superintendent for 30 years in the business department.
On Nov. 8, 1952 he married Rosemary Nortz in Denver, CO and moved to California in 1953.
He’s survived by his wife; a son, Robert (Lori) Hall of Las Angeles, Calif.; a granddaughter, Shannon; and three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Roslynn and Suzanna.
He’s also survived by two sisters, Mary Boone of Fostoria, Ohio and Annie Hawkins of Glen Hope.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan in 2007 and 10 brothers and four sisters.
Burial will be Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Cathedral City, Calif.
