MAHAFFEY – The Mahaffey Center for Active Living invites area residents who are 50 years and older to the Center to receive free antique appraisals.
The appraisals will be offered from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Oct. 22. Pat Errigo, local auctioneer, will provide appraisals in the format similar to those done in the popular Antiques Roadshow program.
Errigo has been in the antique business for close to 50 years. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association, the National Auctioneers Association and the Mid-State Appraisers Association.
Attendees are invited to bring along one or two items to be appraised, but please, nothing larger than can be carried in two hands. Curiosity seekers are invited also. You do not need to bring an item to enjoy the program.
There are no reservations needed. However, those interested in having lunch at the center, prior to the program, are asked to call the day before to make a meal reservation. Any Clearfield County individual who is 60 years or older may contribute to the cost of the meal on a donation basis. The cost to those under age 60 is $3.50.
The Mahaffey Center for Active Living is located in the Mahaffey Fire Hall, 958 Market St., Mahaffey, and is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
