Angela L. “Angel” Shok, 53, of Luthersburg died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at her home.
Born June 16, 1960 in Chestertown, MD, she was the daughter of the late James and Geraldine (Sherry) Purcell.
She was a 1978 graduate of Cameron County High School. In 1980, she graduated from the DuBois Business College.
On Nov. 7, 1987, she married Dr. Edward J. Shok. He survives.
She was the office manager for her husband, Dr. Edward Shok, DMD for 26 years. Prior to that, she had worked at the DuBois Regional Medical Center and the Penn Traffic Company.
She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed running, biking, gardening, her animals and traveling.
She is survived by one daughter, Holly McGuire and her husband, Colin of Hagerstown, MD; a sister, Tina Jankowski and her husband, Joe of Charlottesville, VA; and three brothers, Rick Purcell and his wife, Lea of Emporium, Mike Purcell of DuBois and James Purcell of Panama City, Fla.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in Gilmore Cemetery.
