DUBOIS – Police Chief Mike DiLullo notified DuBois City Council last night about the closure of a section of West Long Avenue for the Halloween parade.
The parade will start at 5 p.m., which is before Halloween hours. The closed section will be along West Long Avenue from Franklin Street through North Brady Street, he said.
City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio said the parade was scheduled for an hour. However, he said it would likely only be about 20 minutes long.
Suplizio, council member Diane Bernardo and others also spoke highly of this year’s DuBois Area Historical Society Spirit of DuBois Lantern Walk.
The council also approved plans for the DuBois Regional Medical Center Pharmacy. The planning committee met before the regular meeting last night. During its special meeting, the committee approved the plans before bringing them before council.
Council member Randy Schmidt was excused from the meeting.
