Tyrone — The Clearfield Area High School junior varsity football team gave up their first touchdown in three games, but did just enough to come away with a 14-6 win over the Tyrone Golden Eagles to keep their undefeated season intact at 6-0.
Running back Corey Shimmel had both Bison TDs, one a nine-yard run and the other from a yard out. Josh Sorbera tacked on the extra point after both Shimmel scores to close out the Bison scoring.
The Bison defense, coming off of two straight shutouts, was led by Dustin Maines and Curtis Daub, who had fumble recoveries, and Sorbera and Dagan Folmar, who had interceptions.
The Bison will be on the road again next week when they travel to Wingate to take on Bald Eagle Area.Â
