A .Joann Kerfoot, 78, of DuBois died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at the DuBois Nursing Home. Born April 13, 1935 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Lucas Walls.
On Aug. 12, 1955, she married Charles D. Kerfoot. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2013.
Mrs. Kerfoot retired in 1996 after 23 years as a secretary in the DuBois Area School District.
She was a member of the Christian, Missionary, & Alliance Church in DuBois. She enjoyed spending the winter months at her home in Florida.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Spellen and John Kerfoot, both of DuBois and Debra Kriner and her husband, Scott of Rockton; four grandchildren, William Guthrie, Taylor and Adam Kriner and Emily Hart); three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beverly Freeman of Washington Grove, MD and Dorothy Blowers of Las Cruces, NM.
She was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Crystal Guthrie and a sister, Betty Quick.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday at the Christian, Missionary, & Alliance Church in DuBois with Pastors Tim Connor and Jon Ditter co-officiating.
