CLEARFIELD – The third annual Clearfield Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K and Fall Festival will be hosted by the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) this Saturday.
The day will get under way with a 5K run/walk through downtown Clearfield. Participants may register the same day from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. at Market Square by the Market Street Bridge. The 5K will start to the sound of Ole Mooley at 8:30 a.m. Any interested participant should visit www.ClearfieldPumpkinRun.com for more information.
Following the race, the Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. This family-friendly event will be held on East Market and Third streets and will feature something for everyone. Admission is free.
Further, more than 100 talented artisans will feature work ranging from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry, glass, photography and mixed-media art pieces. There will be an array of food vendors and plenty of entertainment at the Lezzer Lumber Stage and in front of the Courthouse.
Kids will be able to “Chalk-Up” Clearfield by designing their own square on the sidewalk compliments of Historica Plus Antiques. Clearfield Fire and Safety will show off fire trucks to kids, and there will be free hay rides leaving from the courthouse from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. There will also be lots of games and fall activities for kids all day at the courthouse.
In addition, attendees will also be able to experience the Pennsylvania DUI Simulator sponsored by State Farm Agent Rob Bozovich and explore the “Daughter of Darkness” Vietnam War Truck. For those with a hardy appetite, Spanky’s Courthouse Café will host a taco-eating contest at 1 p.m.
