TYRONE – The Tyrone Fitness and Wellness Center will provide a free educational program entitled “What You Can Do to Fight the Flu.”
Individuals who attend the program will learn about the flu vaccine, receive tips on how to reduce their risk of catching the flu and guidance on how to care for yourself if you do catch the flu.
The program will be held from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Oct. 29 in the main lobby at the new Tyrone Health & Wellness Building at 154 Hospital Dr., Tyrone PA 16686.
The program will be presented by Beth Carey, LPN and infection prevention coordinator at Tyrone Hospital. The program is free and open to the public.

The Tyrone Fitness and Wellness Center was developed through a partnership between ProCare Fitness and Tyrone Hospital. The facility is located on the Tyrone Hospital Campus at 154 Hospital Dr., Suite 1 in Tyrone. The facility is outfitted with a broad range of fitness equipment, offers a variety of fitness and wellness programs, group fitness classes and the services of a health coach. The Tyrone Fitness and Wellness Center is open to the public and serves people age 18 and older.
