Police Report: DuBois City

An incident of theft from a motor vehicle occurred Monday on Robinson Street. The victim told police that she went inside her mother’s residence; when she returned to her vehicle five minutes later, her purse had been stolen. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
A two-vehicle accident occurred Monday on East DuBois Avenue. After the investigation, police found the operator of one vehicle attempted a left-hand turn out of the bowling alley parking lot onto East DuBois Avenue. At this time, the operator of a second vehicle struck it while traveling west. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
While on patrol Monday, police witnessed two males who were engaged in an argument in the city park. Upon speaking with them, police determined they were arguing over issues between their juvenile daughters who had harassed each other over cheerleading. Police separated the males; no charges were filed.
