CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Sept. 30.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Glenn Joseph Evans, 46, of Morrisdale Allport Highway, Morrisdale. Evans is wanted for failure to appear at Colloquy Court on Sept. 9.
On June 24, 2013, Trooper Brian Elensky of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield barracks, filed a criminal complaint against Evans. He charged Evans with driving under the influence of alcohol, registration and certificate of title required, drivers required to be licensed, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, required financial responsibility, driving vehicle at safe speed, careless driving, reckless driving, operation of vehicle without official certificate of inspection and operation on streets and highways.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on May 24 the Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to the scene of an accident on Church Street in Morris Township. Upon investigation it was found that Evans had been operating his all-terrain vehicle on Church Street, at which time he lost control of the ATV and crashed. After making contact with Evans, Elensky detected signs of impairment. Evans was transported to the Altoona Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 31, at which time all charges were held for court. On Sept. 9, Evans failed to appear for Colloquy Court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Evans is described as a Caucasian male who stands 6 feet, 2 inches tall. He has brown eyes and gray hair.
