An incident of burglary occurred sometime Sept. 17-18 on Main Street in Fox Township. During the incident, someone entered the victim’s residence and took a bag of money from a shelf. An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between Sept. 13 and Sept.16 on Hayes Road in Fox Township. During the incident, someone damaged the victim’s mailbox by striking it with an unknown object. An incident of criminal mischief occurred Friday on the Quehanna Highway next to the Medix Run Hotel in Benezette Township. During the incident, someone damaged the lawn of a seasonal residence by spinning donuts with an all-terrain vehicle in the grass. Damage is estimated to be $200. An Act 64 violation occurred Saturday in the Sandy Beach Recreational Area in Ridgway Township. Further, an 18-year-old St. Marys woman was found in her vehicle with a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Charges will be filed through the district court.
An incident of DUI occurred Sunday on state Route 255 in Fox Township. During the incident, a 49-year-old Weedville man was stopped for a traffic violation. While speaking with him, state police detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and other summary charges through the district court.
An incident of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct occurred Friday at Wal-Mart in Fox Township. During the incident, a 36-year-old Wilcox man appeared manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance to the degree that he was a danger to himself, property and other individuals. He allegedly engaged in argumentative behavior with Wal-Mart employees and subjected them to inappropriate name-calling over a matter that served no legitimate purpose. Charges were filed through the district court. Wal-Mart provided a notice to the man that he’s no longer legally welcome on the store’s property.
