Ryan Calvin Mathews, 17, of Philipsburg died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2103 in Philipsburg.
He was the son of Todd Mathews of Morrisdale and Bonnie (Moore) Mathews of Philipsburg born July 7, 1996 in State College.
He was of the Christian faith. He was the CEO for Dairy One Corp in State College and received his GED.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gilbert L. “Pete” Moore, Sue Mathews Simmons, William Simmons and John W. Mathews.
He’s survived by three sisters, Branyelle Lynn Carns and Janalanna Jean Carns, both of Philipsburg and Sierra Ann Dixon of Morrisdale; a brother, Todd L. Mathews of Philipsburg; his grandparents, Charles and Bonnie Null and Ethel and Arch Maines, all of Osceola Mills, Jack and Ann Marie Laughlin of Sligo and Anna Herman of Houtzdale; and step-parents, Robert Laughlin of Philipsburg, Jason Carns of Osceola Mills and Crystal Herman of Morrisdale.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. W. Dean Krause officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service Tuesday at the funeral home.
