HARRISBURG – State Reps. Matt Gabler (R-Clearfield/Elk) and Tommy Sankey (R-Clearfield) are encouraging fire companies and volunteer ambulance services in their districts to submit an application for the 2013-14 Fire Company, Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program. The application period will remain open until Oct. 24.
The grants may be used for construction or renovation of a unit’s station, the purchase or repair of equipment, training or debt reduction. The program was created by the General Assembly as Act 10 of 2007, and is funded through state gaming proceeds.

Gabler represents the 75th Legislative District, which consists of all of Elk County, as well as the City of DuBois, the townships of Brady, Huston, Sandy and Union, and the borough of Troutville in Clearfield County.
