REDBANK VALLEY’S STROTHERS NAMED EXPLORE YOUR TOWN D9SPORTS.COM PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR WEEK THREE OF THE 2013 SEASON
15 Players named to District 9 Honor Roll
CLARION – Redbank Valley’s Mark Strothers is the Explore Your Town D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week for Week Three of the 2013 season after tying the District 9 record for the most rushing touchdowns in a game.
Strothers set the school-record with 302 yards rushing while scoring seven times on the ground in the Bulldogs key 55-34 win over Union that puts the Bulldogs in good position in the race for one of the two District 9 Class A playoff berths awarded to the KSAC. Needing 32 carries, Strothers tied the District 9 record set by Clearfield’s Dave Richards in 2002.
Joining Strothers in being honored this week are 15 players on the Explore Your Town D9Sports.com Honor Roll.
