DUBOIS – The Clear-Penn Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) met Sept. 10 at the DuBois Business College.
The program was on “Pathways of Excellence” and presented by Carol Lundgren, CAP-OM. Reports were given on the yearbook, the programs for the upcoming year and future fundraisers.
The next meeting will be Oct. 8. The Clear-Penn Chapter will celebrate its 65th Anniversary and hold it in conjunction with Executive Night at the Penn State DuBois Campus. The featured speaker will be Patrick Knobloch, an accomplished presenter on leadership.
Knobloch has extensive expertise and works in both the industry and service sectors. He currently instructs at Penn State DuBois, teaching workforce leadership development and supervisory courses.
Bob E. Day will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Letters were sent to all past executives who have been invited to attend. Chapter members are also encouraging all past members and executives to join them in the anniversary celebration.
The evening will start at 6 p.m. with a buffet dinner. Cost is $15 per person. Reservations are required by Sept. 26 and can be made by calling Mary at 814-375-2376 or Peggy at 814-765-9526 or via e-mail at clundgren@windstream.net.
Getting involved with IAAP activities provides an opportunity to develop professional and personal skills of leadership, public speaking, meeting planning and networking. All office professionals are welcome attend any meeting.
