ValleyCats take 4-3 win from Spikes, earn NYPL title

Mason Katz delivered a two-run homer in the ninth inning of Game 3 of the New York-Penn League Championship Series to draw the State College Spikes within a run, but the Tri-City ValleyCats held on to take a 4-3 victory on Thursday night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park to earn the NYPL championship.
