DUBOIS – Touch-A-Truck Day is returning from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday.
Kids of all ages will enjoy the free event at the DuBois Wal-Mart store parking lot. An adult must be present to accompany children, as they enter the roped-off area for this “kid-citing” and fun time.
Although a free event, children are being asked to bring a canned food item for the DuBois Area Food Bank. Event organizers want to encourage children to help feed other children.
There will be a display of “trucks” and special vehicles of all kinds for everyone to explore, sit behind the wheel, honk the horn and pretend to drive. It will provide children an opportunity to be “up-close and personal” with the vehicles they see every day.
There will be police and fire department vehicles, huge tri-axle trucks, skid-steer, cement truck, ice cream truck, tractor-trailers, the Rolling Radio, ambulance, 12-ton satellite truck, new garbage truck, side-by-side, all-terrain vehicles, and more.
Event sponsors are the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce, DuBois Wal-Mart and the DuBois Kiwanis Club. Event organizers urge everyone to attend and support the many businesses and companies taking their time to support the community.
