Spring Mills — The Clearfield Area High School Junior Varsity football team traveled to Penns Valley on Monday night and upended the Rams 14-6 to raise their record to 2-0 on the season. Clearfield dominated Philipsburg-Osceola 34-7 in their opener.
After a scoreless first quarter, Cody Spade hit running back Seth Caldwell with a 6-yard touchdown pass, while Josh Sorbera tacked on the extra point for a 7-0 halftime lead.Â
The Bison were up 14-0 heading into the final quarter after Dakota Shimmel score on a 14-yard run and Sorbera booted his second PAT.
The host Rams scored the final points of the game in the fourth quater to set the final at 14-6 after missing a 2-point conversion.
