Carl R. “Slim” Schriver, 71, of DuBois died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born June 14, 1942 in Monaca, he was the son of the late Lawrence A. and Ida M. (Owens) Schriver.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a school bus driver for Clepper Bus Services for 23 years. He drove Bus 821 his entire career.
On June 15, 1968, he married Mary C. (Frantz) Schriver. She survives.
He’s survived by a son, Chad Schriver and his wife, Mary Beth of Niagara Falls, NY; three sisters, Charlene McGary and her husband, Irvin of Elm City, NC, Dorothy Cain of DuBois and Imogene Brock and her husband, John of Curwensville; one grandchild, Michael Schriver, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tabitha Ann Schriver.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Orndorff officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
