- An incident of burglary occurred sometime Aug. 27-29 on North Sixth Street in Philipsburg Borough. Someone entered the residence by forcing their way through a locked door. Once inside they removed pills from multiple bottles and fled the scene. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of disorderly conduct occurred Friday on North Centre Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 31-year-old Philipsburg man and a 23-year-old West Decatur man were observed yelling and arguing in the parking lot of Weis Market. It was further reported that the argument escalated into a physical altercation. Both were cited for disorderly conduct through the district court.
- An incident of DUI occurred Sunday on Interstate 99 near mile-marker 69 in Patton Township. During the incident, a 35-year-old Holidaysburg man was observed committing several traffic violations. Upon contact with him, state police discovered he was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody for DUI, and charges will be filed pending lab results.
- State police are investigating the death of a West Decatur man that occurred Friday in Philipsburg Borough. The 911 Center dispatched state police to an unresponsive man and upon arrival emergency personnel advised that the victim had died. State police found drug paraphernalia at the scene and due to other “visual indicators” present, they suspect it might have been an accidental drug overdose. An autopsy was scheduled by the Centre County Coroner’s Office to be performed at the Mount Nittany Medical Center morgue. The investigation, state police said, is pending autopsy and receipt of the coroner’s report.
- An incident of harassment occurred over the timeframe of June 1 until Sunday on East Locust Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, the victim allegedly received text messages and Facebook posts from a Johnstown male. The victim asked him to stop contacting her, and she allegedly received several more text messages. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- An incident of harassment occurred Sunday at Puff Super Value store on Front and Presqueisle streets in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 19-year-old Houtzdale man allegedly engaged in an argument with the victim and shoved him. The victim declined any prosecution in the case.
