Police Report: Clearfield PSP

On Saturday a 41-year-old Butler man attempted to purchase a Smith and Wesson .45-caliber handgun at Grice Gun Shop in Clearfield. He was aware of an active protection from abuse order against him and falsely answered a question on firearms paperwork. He was denied the firearm and arrested a short time later. The man was charged with a PFA violation, unsworn falsification and criminal attempt.
Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident Friday on the Mahaffey-Grampian Highway in Penn Township. Donna M. McGary, 54, of Grampian was stopped while a vehicle driven by Debra K. Kester, 54, of Mahaffey was traveling south. McGary failed to observe the Kester vehicle and pulled out from the stop sign, striking it. Kester sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident. McGary was cited for the accident.
An incident of theft/fraud occurred Monday on Link Road in Boggs Township. Someone made several charges on the victim’s credit card, which totaled $103.84.
