CURWENSVILLE – The Clear-Penn Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals had its second summer picnic on Aug. 13 at Irvin Park in Curwensville. There were nine members and three guests in attendance.
Reports were given by the Yearbook, Newsletter, Web site and Certification committees. The programs for the upcoming year were discussed, as well as meeting places. Members decided that all but two meetings will be held at the DuBois Business College. The October and April meetings will be at the DuBois campus of Penn State.
The Clear-Penn of the IAAP will continue collecting Avery box tops. This year they will donate them to the Clearfield Alliance Christian School. President Carol Lundgren, CAP-OM, also announced that the chapter achieved the Chapter of Excellence Award last year and five members achieved Member of Excellence.
The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at the DuBois Business College. The program will be on Pathways of Excellence presented by Lundgren. Reservations can be made by calling Peggy at 814-765-9526 or by email at peggy418@outlook.com. The reservation deadline is 12 p.m. Sept. 6.
